About MazeMap
We are a Norwegian indoor map and navigation scale-up aiming to be a global leader in a rapidly growing market. We are already well on the way with fantastic user uptake, customers across all continents and being recognized as market leader by analysts. We have already built a distribution network with large international companies like Cisco. With our award-winning service, we help millions of users find what they are looking for thus reducing stress, uncertainty, and saving time. We now are seeking a VP Sales to help us take the next step.
The challenge we solve
Humans are building larger and more complex buildings, and by 2050 we’ll build more buildings than throughout history on earth. Yet, no one has solved how users should navigate the buildings and help the users find what they are looking for. At MazeMap we are trying to solve this challenge by automating the productions and update of indoor maps utilizing machine learning and AI. We want to help users find what they are looking for either being a classroom for lecture, the place for your hospital appointment or the closest available meeting room. See this video for more.
The opportunity
We target the largest building complexes; universities, hospitals, large corporate offices and hotels. Several hundred customers in Europe, APAC and USA have already deployed and appreciate the MazeMap solution. We have enthusiastic customers with documented ROI and they are willing to serve as references. According to Gartner and other analysts we are already market leader at universities and named top vendor globally.
After a quiet period with campuses and offices being closed, we are now seeing a spike in interest in planning for return to office and campus. The pipeline of serious enquires from potential customers, as well as new product integrations with strategic partners means that now is an excellent opportunity for the right type of entrepreneurial sales executive to join MazeMap as VP Sales. You get the opportunity to work with an A-team and a product that impress customers and that gets even purchasing managers enthusiastic within a rapidly growing market.

About MazeMap
MazeMap is market-leading in delivering indoor maps and navigation to universities, hospitals, offices and more. Our maps are built on web technologies and work cross-platform without the need for a native app. We are a seven year old company with a proven product, and we need a new software engineer to help us grow our team.
Our software engineering team consists of highly skilled software engineers with frontend and/orbackend experience. The majority of our code is written in Python, Java and JavaScript (React) and lives in the cloud. We do continuous integration, use Git and do code review. Our team is still small and our ambitions large, so we expect everyone to pitch in where it is needed.
We both deliver the map functionality used by our customers and internal tools used to prepare the maps for publishing. Our goal is to fully automate the process of generating the maps from drawings of buildings by applying AI techniques.
Joining a small company that delivers a product to customers all over the globe gives you the unique possibility to impact both product and work environment. You will be exposed to a greater variety of technologies and tasks than in a larger company.
About You:
You love to solve real problems. You see the beauty in elegant, simple solutions. You are analytically strong, but unafraid to reach out to others when you are stuck. You are excited to be part of a team and can work well with others.
You would be motivated by knowing that a lot of people are helped by your product to navigate themselves in large indoor complexes and more. Our software engineers follow feature development end to end, so it would be an advantage if you care about the product and our customers. New programming languages can easily be picked up, programming cannot. Hence,we expect you to be a good programmer in at least one programming language, but we don’t need it to be overlapping with any of the programming languages we use.
You probably have a degree in computer science or similar, a strong passion for programming or have good programming experience. The job is in our HQ in Trondheim. Hence, you must either already live in Trondheim or be willing to relocate.
Things you are interested in:
We have challenging problems and large ambitions, and need more great people to help achieve our goals as we scale up. We are constantly on the lookout for our next team member, and these are some examples of profiles that might be a good fit:
You might enjoy working with apps (Android / IOS)
Have some experience with JavaScript and React
Have special interests in user interfaces and usability
Or a keen interest to learn the above
